ACCURATE AMMO FOR SPECIFIC FIREARMS

These are the results of tests by gun writers from 6 different gun mags beginning in 2018. They are based upon 1a limited selection of ammo chosen by the writers and are in no way a comprehensive result. However, it should point you to ammo that has performed at the top of these groups and prove a solid choice for a particular firearm. These tests only involve accuracy and the selected ammo may not be best for all purposes. As an example, take the case of the Springfield Armory XDM in 10 mm: Although the featured ammo, Barnes VOR-TX 155 Gr. XPB is, indeed, the best choice for target work and plinking, Hornady Critical Duty 175 Gr. FlexLock is better for selfdefense for a number of reasons. But, judging on accuracy alone, it proved the “worst” load of the group. HSM BEAR Load 200 Gr. RNFP was the best choice for hunting medium size game, etc. So, it’s important to know for what purpose a particular ammunition is going to be used.
