FFL Transfer Services
From time to time members have a need to utilize an FFL dealer to transfer firearms from an online purchase or from one location to another. Most all entities that have an FFL (Federal Firearms License) will, and are authorized legally, to handle firearms transfers and purchases including the required background checks.
Prices vary and can range up to $60 per gun. The least expensive option is listed below for your information. Quite a few Straight Shooters have already used his service. He charges $25 per firearm transfer (EFFECTIVE 01/01/23) which includes the background check. Call first before placing an order.

The way it works is the buyer contacts Jeff via email with the following info: Buyer's name and address, phone number, CWFL yes or no, and who they are purchasing or transferring the weapon from including the company's email address. If he is not already on file with them he will send them a copy of his FFL.
When the gun comes in Jeff will log it (or them) in and call the person to arrange a time for pick-up. Jeff has transferred over 2,500 firearms with over 90 percent for residents of The Villages. Most of his customers have made multiple transfers. |
If you are a Villages seasonal resident and wish to transfer firearms to or from your home away from the Villages, Jeff can handle the transfer(s). If you are transferring firearms into the state, a background check is still required. To transfer firearms out of state, either you or Jeff can do the packaging, however, he must first see the firearm(s) to verify the serial numbers.
OPTICS
Additionally, you will be able to purchase optics (red / green dots, scopes) at 10% over dealer cost plus .07% sales tax and $10.00 shipping. In order to do this, first research exactly what you want and supply Jeff the Model Number and UPC (Universal Product Code) Number. Jeff will get back to you with your “Out The Door” price. If you decide to purchase, stop by Jeff's house and he will show you actual dealer cost and to confirm the product. Jeff is not set up for credit cards so you will pay at time of order by cash or check. Shipping is usually within 48 hours of order placement. Upon arrival you can stop by Jeff's house and pick-up your purchase.
